Dua For Parents

The efforts and sacrifices made by our parents in raising us are immeasurable, and it’s impossible to repay them for their kindness. Nonetheless, it’s our responsibility to treat them with respect and kindness as a way to honor their hard work and dedication.

Dua For Parents رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا

Allah S.W.T. says in the Quran:

The commandment of your Lord is to worship only Him and to treat your parents with kindness. Even if one or both of them reach old age during your lifetime, you must not utter any words of disrespect or rebuke them. Instead, speak to them with kindness and respect.

(Surah Al-Isra, 17:23)

Consistently making sincere dua for our parents, even after they have passed away, is one of the most virtuous acts we can do. The Prophet s.a.w. Emphasized the importance of continuing to pray for our parents, as our prayers will remain a source of benefit for them.

Upon a person’s death, their deeds come to an end, except for three: ongoing charity, the knowledge that others benefit from, and a righteous child who continues to pray for them.

(Sahih Muslim)

Numerous types of Dua exist that we can make for our parents. We can even offer any prayer that comes from the depths of our hearts, for Allah will hear our slightest whisper. Below are some Quranic Dua’s that we can make for our parents:
